The Bard's Quill has been on hiatus for a while. Life has such a way of intervening to make one focus on more important aspects one holds so dear. Now that focus has widened its scope to return to the joys of writing. As Samwise Gamgee said concluding The Return of the King, "Well, I'm back," I too have returned.

The Bard's Quill has undergone some changes. What began as a fan fiction site many years ago morphed into a site revolving around medieval and fantasy stories and now to a resource/writing forum for all genres. Some of the same things remain, some things will be new, some things will change.

Yet throughout the existence of the site it has been the intent of the web master to encourage and motivate writers into becoming better at their craft.
